Frequently Asked Questions about Mobile Dog Grooming Services.

Do you need to use my electricity or water?

There is no need to provide electricity or water — our luxury grooming vans are fully self-contained and powered by onboard generators. Each morning, we fill our vans with clean, fresh water, ensuring every appointment begins with the highest standard of hygiene and comfort. Heated water is available during colder temperatures, and all used water is collected in a separate holding tank to keep your property clean and undisturbed.

Our grooming experience is entirely one-on-one, ensuring your dog enjoys a private, calm, and personalized session without contact with other animals. For this reason, the only vaccination we require is proof of rabies.

Not at all. Our mobile grooming environment allows us to focus entirely on your dog, giving them the freedom to walk comfortably inside the spa and settle in before we begin. Each pet is gently towel-dried and then perfectly fluffed with our warm, soothing blow dryer from start to finish, ensuring a calm and luxurious experience throughout.

Most owners of longer-coated dogs choose grooming every 4–6 weeks, while shorter-haired breeds may only require appointments every 6–10 weeks. It’s also important to consider how quickly your dog’s nails grow, as regular nail maintenance plays a key role in their comfort and overall well-being.

For safety and liability purposes, only our trained stylist and your pet may be inside the grooming van during the appointment. This ensures a secure, controlled, and calming environment for your dog.

Grooming times can vary based on your dog’s breed, size, grooming frequency, behavior, and the services requested. Bath-only appointments typically range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, while a full haircut package may take between 1 and 3 hours to ensure a meticulous, comfortable, and beautifully finished result.

For your first appointment, we kindly ask that someone be present to personally hand off your dog and review grooming instructions, along with any important details about their care. After that, you are welcome to head out — we will safely return your dog inside your home according to your instructions.

Following the initial visit, you do not need to be home for future appointments. Simply provide us with the necessary access information, and our team will handle the rest with professionalism and care.

Yes. For dogs who experience high anxiety or show signs of aggression, we do allow light sedation when recommended by a veterinarian. This ensures a safe, calm, and stress-free grooming experience for both your dog and our groomer.

Cancellations and No-Shows

We follow the Loudoun County Public Schools closing announcements for inclement weather. Our team will continue operating as long as conditions remain safe. If you are unsure whether your appointment may be affected, please feel free to call us for confirmation.

This fee helps cover the time reserved exclusively for your dog. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in providing sufficient notice so we may accommodate other clients.

  • In situations involving severe weather or other unavoidable circumstances, the groomer may use their discretion to waive the fee, even if notice is given within 24 hours. In situations involving severe weather or other unavoidable circumstances, the groomer may use their discretion to waive the fee, even if notice is given within 24 hours. In situations involving severe weather or other unavoidable circumstances, the groomer may use their discretion to waive the fee, even if notice is given within 24 hours.

No-Shows

A “no-show” occurs when a client is not present at the scheduled appointment time and no notice is provided to cancel or reschedule.

In the event of a no-show, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the scheduled grooming service cost to help offset lost time and revenue. We kindly ask that all clients notify us in advance whenever possible to avoid this charge.

Yes, our mobile service is fully licensed and insured.

With mobile grooming, your dog enjoys a private, one-on-one experience with a dedicated stylist — unlike traditional shops where pets may rotate between a bather, cage dryers, and a separate groomer. In many salons, pets are dropped off in the morning and picked up hours later, often spending most of the day crated. For anxious pups (and parents), our mobile service offers a far more calming and stress-free alternative. And of course, we come directly to your home or office, so your dog never has to be away from you for an entire day.

Mobile dog grooming offers a level of convenience, comfort, and personalized care that traditional salons simply cannot match. Your dog is groomed right in front of your home, eliminating transportation, long wait times, and the stress of entering an unfamiliar environment. In this calm setting, your groomer is able to dedicate focused, uninterrupted time to your dog, ensuring a truly tailored and attentive grooming experience.

Unlike a salon, a mobile environment shields your dog from overwhelming distractions such as constant barking, loud dryers running for other pets, and multiple voices or people moving around. These stimuli can make it difficult for dogs to relax and comfortably cooperate during grooming. Inside the van, it is just the groomer and your pet — a quiet, controlled space designed for comfort and ease. Many dogs who struggle in a traditional salon transform remarkably in this serene, one-on-one mobile setting.

Nail maintenance is essential for your dog’s comfort and mobility. We recommend trimming every 4–8 weeks, depending on how active your pet is. Regular brushing is equally important to prevent undercoat buildup and matting, keeping your dog’s coat healthy and smooth.

We also offer brush-out-only visits and nail-only appointments. Please contact our office for an estimate tailored to your dog’s needs. Have something specific in mind? We’re always happy to answer any questions and assist with your pet’s personalized care.

We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, Zelle, Venmo, cash, and checks. Payment is kindly due at the completion of your dog’s grooming service.

While gratuities are never expected, they are always appreciated. You may tip your groomer directly in cash, include it with any of the accepted payment methods, or request their personal Zelle or Venmo link.
